Retail Orders

Retail orders will ship out with 2 days of placing the order. We ship via UPS Ground unless otherwise specified. This can take 2-5 days depending on which part of the country you are in.

Shipping cost is based on the amount of the order and is calculated as follows:

At Himalayan Trading Post we want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied with your order, you may return it within 2 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. For damaged and defective items we will also refund your shipping cost. To return an item, contact us via email or phone. We will send you a return label to return the product and send you out a replacement or issue a refund right away. If there is no one to receive your call, leave your name and number and you call will be returned promptly.

Terms & Conditions for Wholesale Orders

**Placing an order with Himalayan Trading Post means you agree to the following:

Opening Orders and New Accounts

Upon approval, the minimum opening order is $300 prior to shipping. Orders for new accounts must be approved, and must be prepaid prior to items being packaged for shipment. Payment may be made via credit card.

In order to be approved, accounts must be a brick-and-mortar store that does not conflict with existing accounts. All new accounts will be approved at our discretion.

Sales Tax Exemption Form (only applicable to US accounts)

A Sales Tax Exemption Certificate is required for all accounts. Opening orders will not be processed without proper documentation. If a customer is unable to provide proper documents, Himalayan Trading Post may charge sales tax. Customers will need to resubmit their certificates should they expire.


Reorders are at a minimum of $100. No exceptions can be made. If a customer wishes to make a change to an order, it must be done at least 5 days prior to the customers requested ship date. No more than two changes may be made to an order. Orders will not ship to accounts that are past due. Accounts that do not place orders in 6 months may be deactivated and be subject to placing a new opening order.

Lead Time

All orders ship within 2-3 weeks. Orders may ship sooner, but may take longer during peak season, or if an order is particularly large.

Payment Terms

After a minimum of 3 orders, credit worthy customers may apply for Net30 terms. Extending terms is at the discretion of Himalayan Trading Post, and customers who violate the term agreements are subject to having their term status revoked.

Returned checks will be charged a $30.00 returned check fee. Past due accounts will accrue interest at 1.5% monthly.

Territory Protection

National accounts are not considered to be in conflict.

Himalayan Trading Post will only consider territory protection to customers who are active and in good status. Customers must spend $2500 per year, to receive protection. Himalayan Trading Post reserves the right to offer protection at their discretion, and may approve new accounts carrying different styles.


Orders are shipped at a 12% rate for East Coast Customers, and a 15% rate for West Coast and Canadian customers. Shipments will leave from our facility in Decatur, GA.

Customers with their own shipping accounts via UPS or FedEx are welcome to use them. Otherwise, orders will ship via UPS ground, or a common carrier for orders over 200 lbs.

Customers requiring expedited orders may request a quote.

Returns & Claims

Orders containing damaged items, mis-shipments or shortages must be addressed within 5 business days. No claims will be accepted via phone, please email for claims to be reviewed and processed. Claims totaling under $25 may only receive credit on their account. All damaged items must be supported by photographic evidence. Any decision made regarding claims is at the discretion of Himalayan Trading Post.

If a customer wishes to return an item, they must contact Himalayan Trading Post before doing so. Unauthorized returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Items must be received in good condition. No call tags will be issued for returns.

Defective Items

Due to the handmade nature of our products there may be some variation in color, size and finish. These are not considered defects.

In the event your item is defective, please contact us with photographic evidence at Once we determine an item to be defective, we will issue a call tag and send a replacement if necessary. Once a call tag is created, customers must ship items back within 7 business days.


We do our best to keep items in stock, but backorders will occur. We honor backorders over $50.00. Backorders will ship as available without notice. If you want to cancel your backorder, you must let us know in a timely manner.

If you choose to purchase a gift for another individual we may ask for that individual's name, shipping address, phone number, and email address. Himalayan will store this information for the purposes listed below. We use the information that you provide for, among other things, fulfilling orders, responding to requests, customizing products, improving our Website and services, communicating with you and otherwise enhancing your usage of the Website. Himalayan has adopted reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. In addition, Himalayan uses standard security protocols and mechanisms to facilitate the exchange and the transmission of data.
